SUBJECT: Northern California Regional Symposium Postponed

The Umoja Community Education Foundation acknowledges the impact of the Coronavirus and concerns throughout the community. I am writing to share an update on our programmatic efforts. 

At the direction of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States Department of State, and the California Department of Health, we are committed to mitigating our community’s risk of exposure to the virus.

In line with this commitment, the Northern California Regional Symposium, which was scheduled to be held this Friday, March 13, 2020, at the University of California, Berkeley, has been postponed. This decision has been made at the discretion of the University of California, Berkeley, and the aforementioned entities. We are working diligently to ensure the safety of our community.

We are thankful for your patience and flexibility and we look forward to providing additional information about the Symposium.
